"How a resident deployed CPR training basics learned in our workshop to save a neighbor experiencing sudden cardiac arrest."

Last month, NavPahal conducted a weekend Community Safety Session for the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 15, Noida. Over 60 residents joined, practicing chest compressions on manikins and learning regulator checks for LPG tanks. Two weeks later, this training was put to the test.

Mr. K. R. Sharma, a 67-year-old resident, collapsed in the society park during a morning walk. Witnessing this, Mr. Sameer Verma, who had averaged our safety workshop, immediately verified responsiveness, instructed bystanders to dial emergency helpline 112, and started high-quality chest compressions.

By maintaining compressions for nearly 8 minutes until the ambulance arrived, Sameer kept Mr. Sharma's brain cells oxygenated. Today, Mr. Sharma has made a full recovery. This incident proves that community training is not just educational—it is directly life-saving.
